The cult-favored fragrance brand name has partnered with The Metropolitan Museum of Art to start a scented candle which is encouraged by an unfinished artwork — a 1908 analyze for ‘Beneath the Cork Oats’ — by Neo-Impressionist artist Henri-Edmond Cross.

The limited-edition autumn candle is named Laurier 62, and has no less than 62 elements such as seasonal scents like thyme, clove, amber, and sandalwood — all combining to build a rich fragrance that captures the French painter’s elaborate style.

“We had been drawn to the enchanting imperfections of this unfinished piece, and the way the artist felt an urge to seize a fleeting second, fixing it forever in time,” a media release explained. It additional that Laurier 62 is wonderful artwork meeting wonderful fragrance “through a shared appreciation of delicate splendor.”

The candle is out there in an 8.6-ounce size and can burn off up to 55 hrs. It is priced at $92 ($82 if you’re a member of The Met), and can be purchased on the net at The Met Retail outlet and Le Labo web page, as effectively as at their respective shop areas.

Sure, it’s a bit expensive for a scented candle, but in comparison to obtaining priceless art on show at The Achieved, it’s a steal.
